April 26

In math we are doing time. In writing workshop we are writing about our hero’s in our family or in our comunity. We went to see the play dragons love tacos. On Tuesday we went to the tech lab. We have our field trip to the zoo next month. There is no more fitness club intil next year.

*Please send in a photo of your child's everyday hero to add to their finished papers at your earliest convenience!
*All interested in being a chaperone! Please make sure you have contacted Carolyn Wren in the office to make sure your volunteer clearances are complete. If they are not, you will not be able to chaperone.
*Sunny Gummel, Angela Kraemer, Heather Emblem, and Lisa Conway will be our chaperones on May 13 to Tyler Arboretum. Our field trip to the zoo will be on June 7th but permission slips have not gone home yet. All chaperones are welcomed to come to the zoo with us!

April 10

We skyped with Dr. Jane Goodall on Tuesday. It was neat to hear her talk about the ways she has helped chimps. In math we are learning how to count money. Our next field trip is April 26^th. We finished poetry. We have no spelling homework this week. Confrinces are on Thursday and Friday.

*Please send in Everyday Hero Questionnaires that went home last week. We will begin to use these in writing workshop when we return from Spring Break!

*Please check folders daily and clean them regularly. Some folders are very full.

April 5

Next week is another second grade snack sale.

We are off next week on the 11 and 12.

In 3 weeks our fieldtrip is on the 24.

In music we did the song I lost the closet key in my ladies garden.

In math we are doing money like dollar bills and some coins too.

Our math test is next week.

And we have a fieldtrip in May too.
