Dec. 14

We lerned about the history of ginger bread men. We also did math and reading. We shared are teaching books on Monday. We also did multilpliocation and dividing in math.

Notes:
*Due to Early Dismissal on 12/21, I will be giving spelling tests AND pretzels (for those that participate in pretzel day) on Thursday 12/20--just an FYI!
*Please practice multiplication and division at home if you know your child is getting confused. Your child can use real objects as models and then they could write x or division sentences that relate!
*Please help your child find 1-2 favorite books from home if they haven't already done so. We are going to write about them in writing workshop!
*This week your child did their Information Writing post assessment. I am so proud of all of their writing. I actually graded their stories at a Sixer game and my section started passing them around. It was quite the scene!

Dec. 7

We learned that some animals migrate and some animals hibernate. We also did math and reading. In writing workshop we have been editing our writing. We also did multilpliocation and dividing.

Reminders/Notes:
*Writing Celebration: Monday, 12/10 2:35-3:10 pm. Please let me know if you plan to come; currently 5 are attending! (Sign in at the office at 2:30 then come to our class.)
*We will start a new writing unit on opinions. To start this unit, students will write about their favorite books. Please help your child find 1-2 favorite books and bring them to school. We will keep them in their book bags!

Nov. 30

In writing workshop, we rote how to light up the world with kindness. We are lerning about wants and needs. We went to Mrs. Clarks class for since. In Library we tride to find three animals. On Friday we had a math test.

Nov. 16

In writing work shop we are finishing our lab reports and starting to write teaching books. In math we are learning how to make bar models and use them to add and subtract.

This week we are lerning the ir, ur, er rool. We are lerning about bar models too.  We are making timelines on a big poster. You will see it at the next cofrins.

We are lrning in writing worshop to be a scientist and writing reports. In the guim Mr. B made a fun Halaween haws. Halaween was so mush fun at NPE. In awhr class we got four behavior strs and eleven class ticits. This week we had a prade it was so mush fun.

If you have not turned in your pumpkin, you can still do so! These family crafts are not meant to be a hassle, just something fun you can do with your child! Thanks!
